Create a new Cloud host
The following prerequisites must be met before you can use this host type:
- “Settings -> Cloud -> Use Cloud functions” must be activated.
- You must have authorized the cooperation with MAMP PRO at the cloud provider (Dropbox or OneDrive).
- At the cloud provider (Dropbox or OneDrive) data of a host must be stored, which are not assigned to any other host so far.
Click the “+” button below the hosts list and switch to the “Advanced” section. Select the host type “Cloud” in the following dialog.
Confirm your selection by clicking on the “Continue” button.
In the first step on the next page, select the host data from your cloud provider (Dropbox or OneDrive) to be inserted into the new host. All available host data are listed in the select box “Use data from”.
As “Document root” we first create the new directory “my-host” and then select it.
Note: Do not create document root folders under your
/Applications/MAMPfolder. A better location for your document root folders would be
~/Sites/. When you do this, your host data is separated from the MAMP PRO application data.
Confirm your selection by clicking on the “Create Host” button. All data is now downloaded from your cloud provider (Dropbox or OneDrive) and added to your new host. This process may take a few seconds. Please be patient.
After all you will be reminded that you have to click on the “Save” button and the servers have to be restarted. Confirm this by clicking the “OK” button.
Save the settings for your new host by clicking the “Save” button at the bottom right. The servers must then be restarted. Confirm this by clicking the “Yes” button in the corresponding dialogue box.
To open your new host in your default browser, click on the “Open” button to the right of the host name field.
