Create a new Cloud host

The following requirements must be met before you can use this host type:

- "Settings -> Cloud -> Use cloud features" must be enabled.
- You must have authorized the cloud provider (Dropbox or OneDrive) to work with MAMP PRO.
- The cloud provider (Dropbox or OneDrive) must store data from a host that is not currently assigned to any other host.

1. Click the “+” button below the list of hosts and go to the “Advanced” section. In the following dialog, select the host type “Cloud”.

   

2. Confirm your selection by clicking on the “Continue” button.

3. In the first step on the next page, select the host data from your cloud provider (Dropbox or OneDrive) that you want to add to the new host. All available host data is listed in the “Use data from” drop-down list.


4. For the “Document root”, first create the new “my-host” folder and then select it.

Note: Do not create document root folders under your /Applications/MAMP folder. A better location for your document root folders would be “~/Sites/”. This will keep your host data separate from the MAMP PRO application data.

1. Confirm your selection by clicking the Create Host button. All data will now be downloaded from your cloud provider (Dropbox or OneDrive) and added to your new host. This process may take several seconds. Please be patient.

2. Finally, you will be prompted to click the “Save” button and restart the servers. Confirm this by clicking the OK button.


   

3. Save the settings for your new host by clicking the “Save” button at the bottom right. The servers will then need to be restarted. Confirm this by clicking the “Yes” button in the corresponding dialog box.

   

4. To open your new host in your default browser, click on the “Open” button to the right of the host name field.
