Create a new Blueprint host

A “Blueprint” host is a clone of a host in the “Blueprint” group. This allows you to prepare a certain type of host and then use it again and again as a template for other hosts.

Note: This host type is only active if there is at least one host in the “Blueprints” group.

  5. As “Document root” we first create the new directory “my-host” and then select it.

Note: Do not create document root folders under your /Applications/MAMP folder. A better location for your document root folders would be ~/Sites/. When you do this, your host data is separated from the MAMP PRO application data.

  6. If the selected Blueprint host contains a linked database, this is of course automatically detected and the previous database name is entered in the “Database” field with the addition “-copy”. Of course, you can also change the pre-filled database name.
