You can use the Web View to display any Web site. Simply enter the URL.
To show the properties of the Web View, click the Properties tab (the slider icon) in the upper right sidebar.
Here you give the element a name. This name is only used within appdoo. For example, you can quickly see in the outline where each Web View is located. You can also edit the name by double-clicking on the Web View in the outline. We recommend that you assign unique names when working with Layout Constraints and Data Links.
In this field, specify the URL of the webpage to be displayed in the Web View.
Open Link in Safari
If you select this checkbox, links are not opened in the current Web View, but in Safari. This causes the user to leave your iOS app. However, your app remains open in the background.
Show Activity Indicator
If you select this checkbox, a spinning wheel is displayed in the middle of the Web View during the loading process of the webpage. If all components of the webpage have been loaded, the spinning wheel is automatically hidden.
Zoom Contents Automatically
If you select this checkbox, the webpage is scaled to fit and the user can zoom in and zoom out.
Here you define the background color of your Web View.
If you activate the “Hidden” checkbox, your Web View will still be present on your work space, but will not be displayed. This can be useful, for example, if you only want to display the Web View under certain circumstances. You can control this via the “Hidden” field in the “Data Links” area.
