MAMP PRO Installation
System Requirements
Section titled “System Requirements”The following minimum system requirements must be met:
- Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur or higher
- Processor: Intel or Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) chip
- Storage Space: More than 3GB of available space
- User Account: A user account that belongs to the Admin group. Go to “System Settings › Users & Groups” to confirm.
Installation Process
Section titled “Installation Process”-
Download “MAMP & MAMP PRO Downloader” from www.mamp.info.

Double-click the file “MAMP-MAMP-PRO-Downloader.zip” in your Downloads folder. This unpacks the ZIP archive.

Double-click the file “MAMP & MAMP PRO Downloader.app” in your Downloads folder.

The downloader fetches the appropriate version for your system and starts the installation.

The installer will guide you through the installation process.
This installer will install the “MAMP” folder and the “MAMP PRO” application in the “Applications” directory. Do not move or rename the MAMP folder.
When MAMP PRO is launched for the first time, an additional helper tool is installed. The MAMP PRO Helper Tool is a daemon that helps MAMP PRO perform certain tasks in the background and maintain the stability and functionality of the application. You will be prompted to enter your macOS user password to authorize the installation.
