Customize

MAMP PRO allows you to customize the toolbar. You can add additional icons to the toolbar to expand its functionality, or remove icons from the toolbar.

MAMP PRO - Customize - Toolbar

The following icons are available:

  • Space
    Add this icon to the toolbar to get a small distance between two adjacent icons.

  • Flexible Space
    Add this icon to the toolbar to create a small gap between two adjacent icons.

  • Customize
    Clicking this button opens the window with the available icons and other options for customizing the toolbar.

  • WebStart
    Clicking this button opens the WebStart page in your default browser.

  • Switch Standard/Expert Mode
    Click this button to toggle between Standard and Expert mode.

  • MAMP PRO
    A click on this button opens the Website of MAMP GmbH in your default browser.

  • Start/Stop Servers
    Clicking this button will start or stop all servers included in the GroupStart.

  • Previous View
    Return to the previous view of the MAMP PRO main window.

  • Next View
    Return to the next view in the MAMP PRO main window.

  • Overview
    Clicking this button displays an overview of your hosts.

  • Assets
    Click this button to open the Assets window.

  • Scrap Pad
    Click this button to open the Scrap Pad.

  • Summary
    Click this button to open the Summary window.

  • Backup
    BClicking this button opens the [Backup Tool] (/Software-Documentation/en/MAMP-PRO-Mac/Backup/) of MAMP PRO.

  • Clone Host
    Click this button to start the process of cloning the selected host.

  • Add Host
    Clicking this button starts the process of creating a new host.

  • Recent Hosts
    Clicking this button displays a list of recently used hosts. Selecting one of these hosts will take you directly to that host.

  • Templates
    Clicking this button displays a selection list of template files. Clicking on an entry opens the corresponding template file in an editing window.

  • Logs
    Clicking this button shows a list of log files. Clicking an entry opens the corresponding log file in the MacOS “Console” application.

  • Editor
    Click this button to open the Editor.

  • Prefs
    Click this button to open the Preferences window.

  • Open phpMyAdmin
    Clicking this button will open phpMyAdmin in your default browser.

  • Cloud Overview
    Click this button to see the cloud activities that are currently in progress.

  • Save to Cloud
    Clicking this button will upload the data from the selected host to the cloud. More information can be found here.

  • Load from Cloud
    Clicking this button will download the data of the selected host from the cloud. You can find more information here.

  • Publish Host
    Clicking this button uploads the data (files, directories, database) of your local host to the remote host. You can find more information here.

  • Import Host
    Clicking this button uploads data (files, directories, database) from your local host to the remote host. More information can be found here.

  • Migrate Host
    When you click this button, you can move the WordPress installation from one remote host to another remote host. The currently selected host is the source and you select the target host. You can find more information here.

  • Create Snapshot
    Clicking this button creates a snapshot. You can find more information here.

  • Restore Snapshot
    Clicking this button restores a snapshot. You can find more information here.
